What age group are you writing this new book for, and what sort of word count do you need for children's books? I only write adult fiction so I've no idea!Sheila Nortonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13997206301877289623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6007489185450890360.post-522852469311684172009-04-29T17:26:00.000+01:002009-04-29T17:26:00.000+01:00Michelle, I didn't write all the Lucy Daniels' boo...Michelle, I didn't write all the Lucy Daniels' books (I wish)!

Shamrock isn't one of mine. I wrote: Fawn in the Forest, Swan in the Swim, Dog at the Door, Sheep at the Show, Lamb Lessons, Pony Parade, Gerbil Genius and Frog Friends.

If your daughter loves animal books, there a lot of Animal Ark titles!

Welcome to my blog, LivingNow92.
The word count is for a children's book - it will be around 20,000 words when finished.
It's great having sleeping dogs next to you when writing, isn't it! Not sure I'd want 7 cats walking over my keyboards. I love cats, though, I'm honorary auntie to Helen's 4 rescues.

Karen, I love Nell's discombobulated suggestion, too. I am impressed with the amount of words - is this a novella/novel or childrens book? If I added up all the words I had typed then deleted perhaps it would be close to that number but of no significance to make a story. I love your photos of your furry friends - I have 2 dogs and seven 'rescue' cats - they all love the internet and my attempts to weave a story - Im guessing thats why the cats walk around & over the keyboard, and the dogs follow me in here and fall asleep watching me type. I also live rurally & its a lonely business typing away wondering if any of the key strokes are worth rereading - luckily the animals are diplomatic critics.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6007489185450890360.post-63149400167593210042009-04-26T23:56:00.000+01:002009-04-26T23:56:00.000+01:00Whirling?
