I had my first publication when I was eight – a silly rhyme in my school magazine. A few years later I started writing children’s books - from board books up to short novels for girls and boys aged 8 - 10. As well as my own titles, my published books include licensed character titles and are a mixture of story/activity books, Annuals, a Sylvanian Families video and series books under an ‘umbrella name’ (I wrote 8 Animal Ark books as Lucy Daniels).
Nowadays I write short fiction for women’s magazines and Pocket Novels – “family and friends” stories set in the 1950s and also contemporary romance. My six Pocket Novels are also published in large print books by Ulverscroft and there is a new one coming shortly.
Also coming shortly is a Collection of Broome Park Prefab Village stories.
I live in a farmhouse on a sheep farm with my husband, Peter. We’re owned by Tim and Ted, our 2 Rough Collies, visiting wildlife and the sheep who graze in the moorland meadows outside my study window. The farmhouse and the animals often appear in my stories.
While I write, Husband up the Hill scratch-builds Historic Racing Cars in miniature. On show here: BRM Mk2 and Maserati 1949 Click on the picture to see more scratch-built miniature historic racing cars from the Posner 1950s Collection
