Hen, Historic Racing Cars and Agent Request YAY!

The hen who came in from the storm to eat cornflakes in my kitchen before going to a new home has been laying eggs. OK, I know that's what hens do, but still, it's nice my rescued hen is doing it.

And I think the hen brought me luck as well as eggs because one of my completed my children's novels is on its way to an agent!

Have started a sort of show-blog for Husband who scratch-builds miniature Historic Racing Cars in the House up the Hill. Please click on the picture on my blog and go visit.

Congratulations on the agent request! Great news.

Thanks, Yvonne
It means even more waiting though - guess that goes 'with the job'.

Still, as its only just been posted, I won't start stalking the postie yet, not for a response to this one. Howsumever, I've a few magazine stories that have been out there for a while...

Hi, Ellie
Thank you. Our English words are very confusing sometimes methinks.

Yes, it was great to hear the hen is doing well.
Will be baking a cake with her eggs tomorrow!

Oooh how exciting! Fingers crossed for your manuscript with the agent!

That hen sounds like one of the family now.

A hen? Want some Paxo? (only joking now :) TFX

Pat Posner said...

Thanks, Maddie.

I wish we could have kept the hen here instead of letting friends foster her - but it wouldn't be safe here what with the foxes feeding in the garden every night.

Pat Posner said...

Hahahaha, TF!

I did notice the poor hen isn't on your blog any more.
I'll have the Paxo, though, I make a mean stuffed Quorn roast.

I used to eat lamb once upon a long time ago... until we had lambs as neighbours and visitors.

Fabulous news about the completed childrens book I tried children's stories myself but felt I was better suited to what I know best, the paranormal. Perhaps I could try children's ghost stories one day.

Thanks for your lovely comments on Amy's blog.

Thanks, Crystal
Your Amy so deserves the comments -you must be very proud of her.

And, yes, you should write a children's ghostie one - I've got one in my waiting to be done place.

When you get home from your holiday you must go visit Amanda Ashby's blog. You'd love her 'you had me at halo' book.

Yay on the agent request and I love Peter's photo's.

Thanks, Liz
Good to see you here.

Pat Posner said...

Hiya, Nell
Yay, indeed, but need crossed fingers for a positive result.

I'm not really orange like I look on the photo - I fiddled with the colour to make the cars show better and suffered for it.

Dropping in to say "Hi! Thanks for visiting me."

Also, thanks for writing "He were right chuffed." I'm going to spend all day trying to work that turn-of-phrase into conversations.

Pat Posner said...

It's a good old Lancashire/Yorkshire saying, Matt.

Like: 'I go to the bottom of our stairs'.

Congratulations on the agent request.

I love hens too and would love to have some.

Thanks, Debs.

I don't think your Grumpy would approve of you having heens.
