Lane, that was just the first fall. You should've seen it a few hours later. Tessa B loves it. In the photo of her on her own she was scrambling down from trying to get into the field above to play snowballs with the donkeys.
Hi pat! Glad to see that Tessa Buttons is enjoying the snow and looks fully recovered from her op! My Tessie can hardly see over the eight inches of snow we have had but she very gamely jumps over it and insists on the usual walks. Keep warm.
Hi, Everybody Thank you all for visiting in my absence! That walk I mentioned in comments of last post - the one where I dragged my war cupboard supplies up the icy hill in bin bags. Well, I think that's wot went and did it! On Friday I woke up aches and pains everywhere, high temp, coughing (OK that might have been the tea leaves I tried smoking!) and just ill. So yuck. I stayed in bed 3 days!! And didn't read 1 book, didn't eat anything - drank bottles of organic blackcurrant cordial then crawled out of bed yesterday, Monday, to go to Dr's. But Dr came here instead. And I've got bronchitis. I can't play out until Thursday. Hmm. Will be stir crazy by then. So I hope all of you are blogging so I'll be able to visit... I'm teaching Tessa B how to read so she doesn't get too bored
I had my first publication when I was eight – a silly rhyme in my school magazine. A few years later I started writing children’s books - from board books up to short novels for girls and boys aged 8 - 10. As well as my own titles, my published books include licensed character titles and are a mixture of story/activity books, Annuals, a Sylvanian Families video and series books under an ‘umbrella name’ (I wrote 8 Animal Ark books as Lucy Daniels).
Nowadays I write short fiction for women’s magazines and Pocket Novels – “family and friends” stories set in the 1950s and also contemporary romance. My six Pocket Novels are also published in large print books by Ulverscroft and there is a new one coming shortly.
Also coming shortly is a Collection of Broome Park Prefab Village stories.
I live in a farmhouse on a sheep farm with my husband, Peter. We’re owned by Tim and Ted, our 2 Rough Collies, visiting wildlife and the sheep who graze in the moorland meadows outside my study window. The farmhouse and the animals often appear in my stories.
While I write, Husband up the Hill scratch-builds Historic Racing Cars in miniature. On show here: BRM Mk2 and Maserati 1949 Click on the picture to see more scratch-built miniature historic racing cars from the Posner 1950s Collection

She's gorgeous! Does the snow make her skittish?
And look at all that snow - proper snow, not the feeble layer we had.
(love the wellies too:-)

Ah, gorgeous photos - you both look as if you're enjoying yourselves!
Oooh snow; I am dreaming.
Oh bless her! She looks so beautiful.
We haven't had any snow, only rain and wind, which is typical.
Oh, that looks lovely. Tessa B seems completely unfazed by the snow - more so than most humans.

The girls all watched the weather forecast and said 'Pat will be snowed in.'

I'm jealous! We've only gotten a dusting of snow here in Nebraska and it was pretty much gone the next day. I hope we get some soon!

Aw, how lovely! Molly definitely gets skittish in the snow...like a little puppy - not that we've had any here yet :o)
OMG - snow up the hill! Hope you guys have lots of supplies. Is the car parked down the bottom? If not Tessa B might have to play Rudolph!!!
