Please go and congratulate Amanda Ashby my ‘genie-us’ friend – who’s also one of my crit partners – on her ‘djinnous’ news.
This is the announcement on Publisher's Marketplace:
Amanda Ashby's untitled middle-grade series about a girl who accidentally gets turned into a djinn (genie) the day before starting sixth grade and has to learn to deal with her new powers without her mom finding out, to Karen Chaplin at Puffin, in a three-book deal, by Jenny Bent at The Bent Agency (world English).

omg - you found an orange djinn??? I need to steal it from you immediately because I love it! And it even looks like Sophie. Okay, not really but I still love that it's orange - and thanks so much for the shout out!!!!!
Amanda, the orange djinn is the reason this post was a day or two late. I was so determined to find the right one - this was a bonus because of the 3 question marks *smile* One for each book title.
Fake tan, perchance?
That's very exciting news. (And anything orange is fab by me!)
Great news. Shall go over and congratulate immediately.
Brilliant news - well done her!
I almost missed this. Tsk. Must go over there now.
Wwo. On my way over to say 'Gratz' now.
Great news - sounds like the sort of story my friend's daughter would love (mine being too old :o))
Sweet! It's great to share good news, isn't it?
Oh this is just the kind of news all writers love to hear! Congratulations to Amanda!
